  We went in and ordered carpet to be supplied and laid in a house we had purchased. We wanted it laid on the Friday of settlement however the manager pushed us to move it to the following Saturday install due to any complications which might arise. I asked how much notice would be needed if there were any changes to the plan so we could have it installed on the Friday as we originally wanted and he said 2 weeks would be plenty of time. That was the end of the "good" part. 3 weeks out from the install date, I rang to change the date back to the Friday as we had arranged for access to the property. The manager said yeah no worries leave it with him ect ect. I hadn't heard back from him, for a week, so I rang back, got told he was busy and would call me back in 5 minutes. 2 hours later I called back again, and spoke to him and was again told yeah no problem it will be fine. I wasn't overly happy with the response so the next day I rang head office who put me onto the area manager. Turns out the carpet install date wasn't changed from the Saturday, and it was now too late to move it to the Friday as it was fully booked. The area manager was about as useful as the store manager. They have completely stuffed up my moving house plans. There was no offer for any compensation, and when I pushed, I was told there was nothing that could be done.
  
  Both the store and the area manager were horrendous in the way they have dealt with the issue. I would definitely not be recommending carpet call to anyone.
